The mayor and city council members are elected by city residents. They can be reached by phone at Washington City Hall at 706-678-3277 or at P.O. Box 9, Washington, GA 30673. The City Council holds its regular monthly meeting the second Monday of each month starting at 6:00 pm. Meeting location is the Edward B. Pope Conference Center at 48 Lexington Avenue, Washington, GA 30673 unless otherwise posted. Meetings are open to the public. Dates of City Council meetings in 2024 can be found by clicking here.
